About us
CFTI (Certification for the Incarceration) is a Michigan 501 (c) 3 nonprofit. Chaplain Kurt Glover opened our doors in 2006 starting in the basement of a Nazarene church in Grand Rapids Michigan. Our board of directors include 6 professionals who represent our faith-based nonprofit to its fullest.
We are located in northern Kent County, Michigan and service the surrounding counties: Muskegon, Ottawa, Ionia and Montcalm.
The ministry belongs solely to God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Our primary goal is to equip inmates and ex-offenders into becoming a productive asset to society through an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Getting employed once on parole is critical & continuing ones education is highly encouraged in a community college or on-line degree program.
We also have the knowledge and tools to create top-notch resumes and cover letters for our students. Students are also given intense training for employment interviews. We work with several employment temp services and other felony friendly employers in western Michigan.
Our certification means that once a student has been born again and adopted through the new birth into God’s family, he or she is then certified (spiritually) and their names are written in the lambs Book of Life and is sanctified (set-apart) to be an ambassador for Jesus Christ.
