God has ordained you to work. What does this mean? Because He has ordained you to work (especially a man to support his family) He will bless you with a job. All you have to do is ask Him to bless you with employment and believe by faith that it will happen. Trust me, He will answer this prayer and God doesn’t care if you have one felony or nine felonies.

Please ask this prayerFather God, because I love you and I have your Son Jesus living in my heart, and I have forgiven those who have trespassed against me, I ask by faith that you will open the door of employment for me.

Lord Jesus, I need to work so I can provide for my family and or pay my child support. Please direct my footsteps to an employer and I will bless you by telling others at my new job about your Son Jesus and that they have forgiveness of sins.

In Jesus name, amen

Seasons of Epiphany by the Chap (Kurt M Glover)

June 2016

Greetings my brothers!

Great to be back with you again. Amazes me how fast a month can go by and I know that’s what many of you want; for time to fly! I can honestly say that my prison bit went extremely fast even though I had a 3 to 5-year sentence. For many of you, that’s peanuts but for me- 1 day in jail or prison was too much.

However, there isn’t a day that doesn’t go by that I don’t thank my Higher Power, Yashua, for my prison time. I knew in my heart that when I surrendered to the Michigan State Police for fleeing & alluding, I needed to make some changes in my soul. I had to surrender my life and give my keys as I jumped into the back seat so God could do the driving. The only place I was heading was to hell if I didn’t repent and walk in a different direction. That was in 1995 and I’m still in the back seat of my 1969 Camaro (my dream car) and Yashua is at the wheel.

Surrender isn’t easy because we are all self-centered people. If we weren’t, we probably wouldn’t be I prison, correct? I’ve often thought about changing the name of this monthly newsletter to be called “Reflections” because while being incarcerated, we should be reflecting back on our lives on what got us into prison in the first place. Yes, it could be drunk driving, armored robbery, criminal sexual conduct, murder, rape, so on and so on. But deep under each of those titles lies another name; sin.

Sin is what got us into prison. I realize that there are several of you on my mailing list that are innocent of your crimes, but if you would take a deep look into your soul, you probably would see and inferno taking place. You would see things that you don’t like. A monster so to speak. We have a boogie man lurking inside us and many of us are afraid of our own self. We cannot love others because we don’t even love our self and that’s sad especially when we have children and we are fathers to them.

When Eve was tempted in the Garden of Eden, she fell for the trap. How? Because when Satan tempted her and us to commit a crime (to sin) he does a fantastic job camouflaging the outcome of the temptation, amen?  Camouflage is design to hide you and as an avid hunter I wear a lot of it so the animals don’t see me. It conceals me so I can KILL my target. Brothers, it’s the same with the devil- he doesn’t want us to see the outcome of our sin so we commit it. Before we know it, it’s too late and we are standing before a judge. Just like the tom turkey or 8-point buck who’s standing in my cross-hairs.

Yesterday the verdict came in for Freddy Gray trial in Baltimore. One police officer has been found innocent and if the other one’s are- it will be riot time in the big “B.”

Tweets have been coming in left and right on what the rioters want to do; burn down Baltimore. It will be interesting to see what happens. This summer and fall will be very interesting in our country with the presidential election and riots. I’ve encouraged many of you in the past to study the life of David in the book of Psalms on how he looked to the Lord for spiritual and physical help. If you think you don’t need spiritual help from your Maker on what’s coming up in this world, I would re-think your decision. There are no atheists in the fox hole and if you have ever been in combat or in a war zone area as I have, you want as much protection as you can get.

Since writing this Epiphany, I have only heard from one inmate concerning a prayer need. I’m glad to hear that everything is going well for you and that you don’t need any prayer. When I was in, I wanted as many people praying for me as I could get. Please Jpay me with any prayer requests that u may have.

Tim, the tool man Taylor- I use to love to watch Home Improvement back in the 90’s. But did you know this about the Detroit man:

Tim Allen may be known for his hilarious jokes and handyman hobbies, but there’s a side of Tim Allen many haven’t seen. Tim Allen may be known for his hilarious jokes and handyman hobbies, but there’s a side of Tim Allen many haven’t seen. Tim Allen believes in God. And if you meet him in person, you’ll quickly learn that he’s unashamed to tell you so.

But Allen doesn’t claim to be a perfect Christian. In fact, he admits that many of his life’s deepest struggles are what caused him to turn to Christ.

Tim Allen hasn’t always had it easy. Like many celebrities of our day, Allen wrestled with addiction and alcoholism in his younger days. Allen’s father was tragically killed by a drunk driver when Tim was only 11-years-old.  Through the unimaginable grief, Tim struggled to pick up the pieces. After his father’s tragic death, Allen questioned whether if he had prayed harder or had been with his father that fatal day, he could have prevented his death. Not knowing where else to turn, Allen found comfort in drug and alcohol abuse. On October 2, 1978, Allen’s life took a dramatic turn when he was arrested for possession of over 650 grams (1.43 lb) of cocaine. Allen pleaded guilty to drug trafficking charges, and was released after serving two years and four months in federal prison.

Tim Allen hasn’t always been a Christian.

He shared, “For years, I just did not like this idea of God, church,” he said. “(I was) still a churchgoer, but constantly a cynic.”

But today, his relationship with God looks completely different. In fact, Allen’s whole world looks completely different since turning his life over to “The Builder” — as he affectionally refers to Christ.

“I always do ask — whoever put me here; The Builder — what did You want me to do?  I just want a relationship with Whoever built me. This is too much; too weird that it happened by accident. I don’t believe that I happened by accident.”

Today, Allen’s life boasts of God’s redeeming grace and goodness, and proves that no man is ‘too far gone.’ With over a decade of sobriety under his belt, Allen is free to enjoy his family and daughters.

Tim shared:

“I used to live an isolated existence, even in relationships, but now my family knows me for who I really am. Mostly, that’s a good thing… Yesterday I was swimming with my 3 year-old, and I looked up and thought, ‘How wonderful this world is.’ We’re always searching for something, but it’s going to be all right. Stop fretting so much.

Seeing the worst parts of my behavior helped me to understand the better parts. So while I’m still more anxious than I want to be most of the time, I’m far less anxious than I used to be. I was doing comedy clubs, concerts, movies and TV, and didn’t ever realize how fatigued I was or how much I was missing in my life.”

As you can see, I underlined the part that says “seeing the worst parts of my behavior helped me to understand the better parts.” I hope and pray that each of you reading this Epiphany will take the time while you’re incarcerated and find the “real you.” Amazing things will begin to happen to yourself when you do, even while you’re in prison.

Again, please let me know if you have a prayer request or two. I’m here for you and I personally know that many of the MDOC chaplains are working only for the paycheck. Not to spiritually guide you.

Friends.  we live in a time where “good has become evil” and “evil has become good.” Our mainstream media has become corrupt and will soon fall under the spirit of the antichrist. This is why God has led me to

Brother Rick Wiles is a God-gifted watchman who doesn’t sugar coat major events that are taking place before our very eyes. I encourage everyone to not only listen to his broadcast but check his news-stories out each day. I have supported trunews financially and I encourage you to as well.

Seasons of an Epiphany

January 19th, 2016

February 2016 edition

Today, on January 19,  2016, God placed on my heart to develop a monthly newsletter to send out to inmates electronically through JPay.

You will find useful “tidbits,” News that Matters, a prayer for the month, and much more. If you would like for me to send this to someone you know in prison, contact me through our contact page please- Thanks

As stated, the  “prayer of the month”  will include many that I had prayed and written down when I was in prison.  Every prayer that I prayed to our Father when I was incarcerated got answered within 24 hours.  This happened because of several reasons and the main one was they were all in God’s will. Secondly, they were the desires of my heart; please read Psalms 20 and King David will talk about this a little more- I would like to ask you: What are the desires of your heart? Your probably saying “to get out of prison” and that’s understandable, but that’s your flesh speaking. I was the most free-iest when I was incarcerated and that’s the truth.

Saaaaaay Whaaaaaat? Yes, my spirit was free. No guards nor barbed wire could contain my spirit that is seated in the heavenly realm with Jesus Christ.

I will also share some current world news that I think is of importance. America is sailing into uncharted waters and I foresee trouble ahead. The tribulations that are ahead will not only affect those on the outside of the barbed wire, but also those of you that are behind the barbed wire.

What’s happening in this crazy world?   I Recently discovered a new website called It shows all the ships/vessels currently cruising all the bodies of water in the world. To my amaze, no cargo ships are currently moving in the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean. What does this mean? All goods and services has come to a halt especially for the United States. Oil prices have hit an all-time low coming in under $29 dollars per barrel.  Gas prices are at $1.73 as of 1/16/16 and will probably keep going down. In fact, a gas station 200 miles north of me in the upper peninsula of Michigan had gas for .49 cents!

Stocks came down 500 points on Friday 1/15/2016 and it’s not looking good for the Dow Jones Industries (DJI). America is heading towards a financial meltdown. To let you know, I do not listen or watch the main stream news media. It’s all a lie and they only tell you fluffy puffy cotton candy news. As you know, this is election year and it’s going to get very interesting. Donald Trump is exposing the hidden sins of many of his opponents and the Bible says that this will happen just before the return of Christ.

It’s not my intentions to get you depressed or stressed over the news. However, I do believe it’s important for us to know “the signs of the times” as Jesus stated to His listener’s, and to the Pharisee’s.

A Father’s spanking    I can remember as child the difference between my mom’s spankings and my dad’s spanking. I assume you can as well. As we look back on our chastisements, I remember some were for things I wasn’t guilty of; I had 3 older brothers and one in particular whose name is Bill, was jealous of me. I was the baby of the family and for some reason he liked to get me in trouble. One time I was spanked for taking a bottle of beer out of the fridge when it was Bill who did it.

Several of you reading this epiphany are in prison for a crime you didn’t commit; 30 percent of Michigan prisons are incarcerated with innocent inmates.  Something is wrong with this picture.

On the flip side, those inmates that are innocent believe that their guilty of something else- another type of charge. Maybe this is the case for you? I don’t know.  I believe it’s not the will of God for people to in prison. However, He lets it happen for a reason. Generally, it’s to get your attention. I say “amen “to that because He certainly got my attention when the judge said “Mr. Glover, I now sentence you to 3 to 5 years with the MDOC.” I realize that this is peanuts to many of you because your sentence is much loooooonger.  But it doesn’t matter; 1 day in prison is too much. I encourage you to seek God’s face and find out why you are at where you are. If you don’t get an answer, keep asking until you do.  I say this with full assurance; God is the Gate-Keeper and He holds the key to your release; not the MDOC parole board.

The Step House (I will be featuring a new step each month)                  The people I’ve hurt or harmed (step 4 & 8)

I strongly feel that the Twelve Step program works wonders and can supernaturally open doors for you if you complete each step.  What I have experienced is that completing some of the steps are more challenging than others- I do want to point out that a person does not have to be an alcoholic to complete these steps. They apply to everyone in a jail or prison cell because it all centers around self-centeredness when we commit a crime. For most students in my class, steps 4 & 8 are the hardest and we try hard as hell to skip. Step 4 says that we must take a fearless, moral inventory of ourselves. We need to look inside our soul and see the inferno that’s blazing. WE DON’T LIKE WHAT WE SEE! PERIOD. It’s scary, frightening and ugly. Oh, and it’s embarrassing. At least it was for me. But how can we clean ourselves up without going and knowing the root cause of the problem. This is why step 4 is critical. Next, step 8 wants us to make amends to people that we hurt or harmed. Ouch! How in the heck do you do that in a prison cell? It starts with a letter to those exact people, such as our spouse, parents, children, friends & employers.

Unemployed angels– God has angels to work for you. The cool thing is, you can employ these angels by asking God to put them to work. For the month of February, ask God to encamp His guardian angels around your love ones. Such as; your children & spouse. My first wife developed Schizophrenia which ultimately led to a divorce just before I went to prison. She always thought someone was after her and was going to harm her. My 3-year-old daughter was also with her and they were constantly on the move. Being in prison I had no idea where they were nor if they were safe. I grieved in my heart that I couldn’t protect my little. That’s when God spoke to me and said don’t worry about your daughter. Just ask me to command my angel (s) to camp-out around her and they did. From then on I had an inner peace that my little girl was okay and now today, 20 years later, we have a beautiful relationship. I encourage you to follow this blueprint as well especially if you have children young or old.

*I can always use your help in Symbols of Epiphany. If you would like for me to add something, let me know and as long as it doesn’t break any rules so to speak, I will try and add it.

If for some reason you do not want to receive this monthly in your  JPay, please let me know ASAP.

Thank you,

The Chap

Ex-Offender’s Job Hunting Guide

December 14th, 2015

You will need as much help and training that you can get in helping you get a job. I have used several books in our nonprofit but I use one particular book that covers everything: This impeccable book will not only help you design your resume, but will also teach you how to give a “top-notch” interview. Trust me! All of my students have purchased this book and all of them are working; does that tell you anything

Here’s what others have said about this book

“I have a contract with California to help Job Developers work with people who have disabilities. The question continuously arises “What do you do with people who have been in prison?” I was so relieved that this book was published. I carry a copy of the cover and share it with every group I train.
Great resource for anyone who has ever been arrested for anything.”
Kathy Condon, Speaker, Trainer and author of the book “It Doesn’t Hurt to Ask: It is all about communication.”

“I tutor ex offenders and help them write a resume and prepare for an interview. This book is extremely helpful and provides a wealth of knowledge in an area that doesn’t get much coverage. The book provides hope for those who are looking for a second chance in life.”

“One of the comments I hear most often from visitors to my website is “no one will hire an ex-con.” I always encourage them to keep trying and give them some tips of my own. The value in this book is that it’s a step by step approach, with good real-world advice. I believe any ex-offender will find it useful, especially those who are new at making their own way in society.”

“This is an excellent book for inmates to read and improve themselves while incarcerated. It contains great advise for everyone. I’ll recommend it to the inmates who write to me, as well as those who participate in our seminars behind bars. – Tom Lagana, co-author “Chicken Soup for the Prisoner’s Soul,” “Chicken Soup for the Volunteer’s Soul,” “Serving Productive Time,” and “Serving Time, Serving Others.”

Grab it while you can, trust me!

Your Ideas Matter.

December 10th, 2015

If you have any ideas that would be useful on our website, let us know. For instance, if you know of a good website for resume writing, Cover letter creation, etc., let me know by the contact page. Finding a job once paroled is crucial as you know. Helping one another out is called “teamwork” and we need to help each other out. The old saying is; two heads are better than one…..

Who Do You Trust?

October 24th, 2015

Let me ask you a quick question; after getting out of prison, who do you trust to guide your life? There’s only two possible answers: It’s either you or your Creator God Himself and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I’m hoping your answer is the latter and because He gave you the breath of life, wouldn’t it make sense to follow after His love, grace & mercy? God knows your future. He knows where you need to work. He nows who you should marry and who your friends should be.

If you have had a “belly full” of the criminal justice system, seek God’s face and believe in what Psalms 20 says: That God will give you the DESIRES of your heart.

DYK- that many temp services will hire people with felonies? Be sure to check with your local temp services no matter where you live and apply for a job. Be sure to ask if they are currently working with any employers who will accept someone with a felony. If they say “NO” keep checking back because it changes weekly….

Jobs, Jobs, Jobs,Jobs

BTW- if you have a CDL and are unemployed, somethings wrong! There are many good paying truck driving jobs available for people who have felonies. Check your local craigslist. I encourage to purchase the book I have listed on another blog from Amazon. It will teach you how to interview and how to write your resume. You need to know how to sell yourself to an employer. When your at a interview they WILL say; “we really like your experience, but your criminal background bothers us. Why should we hire you?”

What will your answer be? Again, by the book I have in my blog under Ex-Offender’s Job Hunting Guide.

Who’s hiring veterans? Walmart recently announced their new initiative to hire 100,000 veterans over the next five years. Ambitious? Yes. Inspiring? Definitely. The program will offer jobs to veterans who have been honorably discharged within the past 12 months. BTW. Walmart is felony friendly (except management positions)

*No charge to you Tibet. (I use to own several businesses including a recruiting company. Therefore, I know a little bit about recruiting, human resource management, etc. Every so often I will give you a “Tibet” of free information.)

How to get hired this summer.  First off all, drop the tude, attitude that is. I’m running into way too many ex-offenders who have an attitude since getting out of jail or prison. Get over it. Be happy that you’re out and that your not baby sited anymore. Let Jesus put a smile on your face and ask Him to bless you with a job. Do you think He’s going to say NO? Come on, we were created to work and to provide for our families- men!!

Next- be flexible. Don’t tell the person interviewing you that all you can work is M-F,  8 to 5. It isn’t gonna happen.

Commitment The employer wants to see that you will be a “committed” employee. It costs money to hire and train new employees therefore, the employer doesn’t have extra money to spend on training. Let him or her see that your in it for the long haul. Yes, it may be only a summer job but that summer job just may turn into a full time year around position for you if you give one-hundred percent of your commitment.

If you like working with clothing (ladies) The Gap Inc. 101 is hiring

The word is out that UPS is hiring. Check it out. My nephew works for them loading trucks and he’s making good money
